Eggology appears to be a product that is simply egg whites in a can. I'm not sure what the benefit of this over Egg Beaters is supposed to be, and I don't see how this could be more cost effective than simply dividing out the yokes. Anyhow, the research on eggs is back and forth. My gut feeling is that they're going to decide that cholesterol levels are mostly dependent on genetics, with secondary influences from dietary fat and life-style stress. I'd just stick with eggs, myself.

I use Eggology because it's pure and fresh, and tested for salmonella. Egg Beaters has a bunch of chemicals in it, and tastes awful.

  2. Well I don't know about Egg beaters, but I know egg whites are pretty cheap and easy to obtain from eggs (I can even do it with one hand!).

The salmonella thing is... [shrug]. I don't think that's really been a problem for quite some time. I eat raw egg whites in smoothie drinks, and if you cook them that takes care of the salmonella anyhow.

But if you want to spend a lot of money on Eggology, be my guest!
